Virtual STEM Labs: Tools and Faculty Generated Recommendations

Session Overview

This video was part of the July 2020 REMOTE: The Connected Faculty Summit

When the University of Central Florida quickly moved to remote instruction in response to COVID-19, both the Division of Digital Learning and the College of Engineering and Computer Science formed task forces to address the unique challenges of teaching STEM lab courses remotely. The result was a comprehensive collection of remote and virtual lab resources for all STEM fields and three reports generated by faculty with recommendations specific to lab courses, senior design courses, and innovative remote instruction for engineering. As a member of all of these task forces, Dr. Wendy Howard will provide an overview of the general STEM resources as well as highlights from the engineering reports, which may also be applicable to all STEM disciplines. Participants will also leave with access to the complete list of resources and full reports.
