Hear a frank and honest conversation with ASU President Michael M. Crow and David Levin, University Entrepreneur in Residence at ASU, as they talk about how universities, private and public institutions have weathered the storm in the past year with speed and agility throughout crises.

Many positive changes have come through in the form of social transformation, student productivity, cultural shifts, embracement of technology, etc., which have essentially expedited the modernization of institutions for diversity, scale, cost control. President Crow will share some of the goals set for by ASU:

  • To ensure that the student body is representative of socio-economic diversity
  • To engage every qualified student
  • To help those that did not finish college
  • To empower Faculty and Staff to work as design-level architects toward degrees

In addition to this, you’ll hear ways universities are coming together to greatly enhance innovation and improve higher education outcomes.


Micheal M.Crow

President |  Arizona State University

Michael M. Crow became the sixteenth president of Arizona State University on July 1, 2002. He is guiding the transformation of ASU into one of the nation’s leading public metropolitan research universities, an institution that combines the highest levels of academic excellence, inclusiveness to a broad demographic, and maximum societal impact—a model known as the “New American University. ASU simultaneously demonstrates comprehensive institutional excellence, inclusivity representative of the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the United States, and collaborative problem-solving dedicated to consequential societal impact. Dr. Crow has committed the university to sustainability, social embeddedness, and global engagement, and championed initiatives leading to record levels of student diversity. During his tenure, research expenditures at ASU have increased more than five-fold, the university has completed an unprecedented infrastructure expansion, and has been chosen the nation’s most innovative school by U.S. News & World Report for the last six years.

David Levin

University Entrepreneur in Residence | Arizona State University

David is the University Entrepreneur in Residence at Arizona State University and is the Executive Producer of the REMOTE conferences for connected faculty and teachers. He is also the Chairman of SparkBeyond, an innovative AI based research engine.

David has spent the last 20 years as the CEO of four global companies at the intersection of technology and media – the education company McGraw-Hill, the events/media company UBM plc, the mobile OS software company Symbian ltd., and the mobile technology hardware company Psion plc.
David was educated at Oxford University (BA – PPE) and Stanford University (MBA).
Married to Lindsay, they have three sons (26,24 and 21) and they live in New York City.
