Experimental Pedagogy with Hypothesis in an Asynchronous, Online Seminar

Session Overview

This video was part of the June 2022 REMOTE: The Connected Faculty Summit

Experimental pedagogy involves taking risks and putting yourself and your students in an uncomfortable, yet potentially rewarding teaching and learning experience. This session will discuss one graduate-level instructor’s approach to experimental pedagogy to disrupt the traditional mode of online discussion (i.e., discussion forums) for an asynchronous seminar using the Hypothesis social annotation tool. The session will discuss justifications, implementation logistics, and instructor reflections.
