Preparing for the Underprepared: Leveraging education technology for equitable and inclusive education

Session Overview

This video was part of the July 2021 REMOTE: The Connected Faculty Summit

The COVID-19 pandemic may have increased the proportion of incoming first-year college students who are academically underprepared. This may be emphasized in marginalized or disadvantaged groups. What does research say about how instructors and administrators can leverage education technology to prepare for this? Join this session to discuss:

• How can you leverage technology to effectively and equitably provide or enhance academic supports for incoming disadvantaged or at-risk students?

• How can you leverage technology in your classroom to support incoming students that now span a wider range of academic ability
