Low-cost and accessible OER courseware is flexible, reliable, and adaptable making the transition to remote instruction – and now to a new, hybrid model – smooth and seamless. This presentation will describe how OER allow us and our students to adjust to new norms with minimal interference.

Sophia has taught all levels of mathematics from pre-algebra to calculus and statistics.   She is a strong believer of the importance of accessible education in all its forms, and she has been using OER for the past 10 years.  She was the recipient of the 2011 SUNY Chancellor’s  Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 2017 AMATYC Teaching Excellence Award.
