Creating Effective Distance Learning in Mathematics

Session Overview

This video was part of the July 2020 REMOTE: The Connected Faculty Summit

Fostering student engagement in mathematics is even more important with the recent switch to virtual teaching and learning. This transition is driving an interest in designing effective online experiences by creating a community of engaged learners. In this session, we will discuss the importance of collaborating with peers so that students in mathematics are having coherent experiences across the department while embedding practices that promote inclusivity and equitable access to rigorous mathematics. We will propose a sequence of topics to kick off your departmental collaboration and will be available to answer questions at the end of the session or via email.
