Ivy Tech Community College is Indiana’s only community college. With 18 campuses and approximately 79,000 students, we are one of the largest community colleges in the nation.
In 2012, we began our OER journey to develop a self-sustainability model. Fast forward almost 8 years later, we are continually expanding our OER offerings to different subject areas and have saved our students over $1 Million dollars!

Madisen Gunkel
Executive Director of Instructional Design Services, Ivy Tech Community College
Madisen Gunkel is the Executive Director of Instructional Design Services. Prior to this role, she served as an instructional designer to manage the development of statewide online courses and the inclusive access and OER programs.
