Session Overview

This video was part of the June 2022 REMOTE: The Connected Faculty Summit

This session will provide insight into student feedback about adaptive learning tools in real time. Subjects including usability, adaptive map and content navigation, faculty engagement, and student perspectives about adaptive learning will be provided. The session will outline challenges and opportunities related to adaptive learning with action steps outlined to improve student experience with data from an equity and inclusion perspective.

Connie Johnson

Chancellor | Colorado Technical University

Dr. Connie Johnson is Colorado Technical University’s (CTU) Chancellor, working with both online and ground degree programs. During her time at CTU, Connie has initiated adaptive learning technology implementation, effective leadership of academics, women’s leadership, leading academics through change, and effective technology implementation in the online classroom. 
 

Margaret Carmack

Executive Program Director, College of General Education | Colorado Technical University

Dr. Maggy Carmack, Executive Program Director, College of General Education.
Dr. Carmack holds a PhD in American History and has been teaching online since 2013. She has worked to develop adaptive learning courses at several online universities. Dr. Carmack began teaching at CTU in 2017 and became Executive Program Director in 2021. 

Sarah Pingrey

Lead Faculty, College of General Education | Colorado Technical University
Dr. Sarah Pingrey, Lead Faculty, College of General Education.  Dr. Pingrey is a Lead Faculty of Mathematics. Dr. Pingrey holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics and has been teaching Math at CTU since 2011. While at CTU, she has led multiple initiatives to integrate Adaptive Learning in mathematics courses to enhance student success.
