In the first episode of Season Three, we start the year off with the world’s two biggest economies: The US and China. Thunderbird professor, Doug Guthrie, shares his unique journey through academia into the world of business. He details the design of his course, TAM 542 Leading Change and Transformation in a Global Environment, through the lens of global leadership and organizational change, with the contextual elements found in Chinese society.
Professor Guthrie is joined by Instructional Designer, Zachary Zidek, and Translation Curriculum Coordinator, Kathy Cabizo, to discuss how they created a culturally inclusive course, to help students see themselves as leaders, by retaining their cultural identity and applying best practices in their unique environments. Mary and Ricardo listen in with the Assistant Director of Instructional Design for ASU Zai Xian, Maggie Dempsey Dotson.
