Step 1 – Overview for learning design Learning design is the intentional and deliberate planning of your learning experience to ensure that you create a course that is valuable to your learners, gets them the knowledge and skills they require, and is an engaging and enriching experience.
Step 2 – Identify the learning objectives Learning objectives are one of the foundational pieces to designing and developing a learning experience. Writing them can be challenging at first, but with some practice and support you’ll quickly improve.
Step 3 – AssessmentsYour assessment strategy for your course should be driven by your learning objectives, be varied, and include both formative and summative assessments.
Step 4 – Course materialsBegin to think about creating course content and learning assets for use in a full digital immersion setting, for example, creating informational video lectures to support your learning activities.
