Did you know that there is a self-review tool that is available for you to use in any of your courses? Arizona State University is committed to implement the Quality Matters standards for the design of online courses, and we are systematically building and evaluating our courses based on these rigorous, research-based standards and recognized best practices.

By setting up your Quality Matters account you will have access to many tools such as the self-review tool and the Quality Matters rubric.  A Quality Matters self review is a great, informal way to gauge the design and structure of your course using the Quality Matters Rubric.

You can use this self-review tool at no cost, by following these two steps.

  1. Set up your Quality Matters account at qualitymatters.org. Be sure to list “Arizona State University” as your institution and use your asu.edu email address to gain access to the QM tools.
  2. Watch the short video below (5:37) to get an overview of how to use the Quality matters self-review tool in the QM website.
